Talking Points is a block - just like log cabin is a block. It has 12 pieces that zig-zag back and forth at 2" increment - a standard size so it can easily be matched with blocks from other patterns. The optional border block completes the points when you match the same fabric at the outside edges.
One simple block, mirror it (or not), graduate the colors (or not), use the border block (or not) - the choices are endless and the results unique. This same block can be used again and again with dramatically different outcomes. The Talking Points block is done by paper piecing. Our foundation paper is uniquely printed on both sides which makes it much easier to position your fabric accurately. There are some patterns to choose from, each with the foundation paper needed for the pattern. But it is the most fun when you use your own ideas for a unique quilt. |
