the Path from Quilter to designer
It is with great surprise that I find myself a quilt designer. I am not an artist, can't draw a straight line, can't create something from a meaningful idea and therefore never considered I was a designer. But after publishing my own ideas (Shortcut Sheets), creating a unique block (Talking Points), producing 60+ patterns and having been published in a magazine 4 times - I can now humbly admit that I am. Let me show you the path that took me from quilter to designer - and maybe find your inner designer. COVID19 currently does not allow for in-person presentations. However, Zoom is a wonderful way to still share ideas and show quilts.

The schedule for 2021 is being finalized - please check back in December for updated information.
Schedule a Zoom Trunk Show
I provide meeting details and you invite your people to participate at a given time for about 1 hour. I share my screen and talk thru my presentation 'From Quilter to Designer'. I will have images of the quilts I normally bring to the trunk show. The cost is $150. Each person will receive a $5 coupon to be applied to online sales.
ZoOM Shortcut Sheet Classes
Check the class schedule. Classes are open so participants can join from anywhere. Most classes are 2 sessions of 2 hours each. In the first session, watch a demonstration and start the project. In the second session each student will have an opportunity to show their project and discuss any difficulties. The cost $10 per student . Students will also need the pattern for the class that is available for download for $5. Optional class kits are available - the price varies depending on the theme and would need to be ordered in advance.
Zoom Quilt Class - 5 sessions
There are 5 sessions, walking students thru the steps in any of a number of quilt patterns available. Check back in December for the individual class information. Classes are open so participants can join from anywhere. Students all make the same pattern. In the first session, we meet for about an hour to review the pattern, discuss fabric selection and cutting instructions. In the second session, everyone should have their fabric cut. Watch a demonstration on how to proceed with each step. Cost is $25 per student which includes the pattern download. Registration is online - check back in early December for more information.
